Job Description for Barista at Collegiate Hotel Group

Collegiate Hotel Group is seeking a Barista to join The Graduate by Hilton Ann Arbor and its team of hospitality enthusiasts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcome customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
• Educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu.
• Sell coffees and coffee brewing equipment by explaining differences in beans and machines; demonstrate brewing equipment operation.
• Prepare and sell coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and techniques.
• Maintain inventories by replenishing supplies, stocking equipment, and maintaining pastries and cookies.
• Keep equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance.
• Follow sanitation and safety standards to ensure a healthy work environment.
• Enhance quality by evaluating and redesigning processes, and maintaining store appearance.
