Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Contributes to the overall success of LECOM by providing excellent customer service to all customers. Providing prompt service, quality food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment in accordance with LECOM's standards.

Characteristic Job Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships;
  • Follow protocols and procedures in Institutional education;
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and promote the culture, values, and mission of LECOM;
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events;
  • Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs and communicate with management;
  • Assist with new employee training and coaching;
  • Recognize and communicate employee morale and performance issues;
  • Deliver excellent customer service with a customer-first attitude;
  • Follow operational policies including cash handling and safety procedures;
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace;
  • Provide quality beverages and food products, adhering to standards and safety guidelines;
  • Recognize individual and team accomplishments;
  • Maintain punctual attendance;
  • Support LECOM's mission through institutional fundraising and community involvement;
  • Participate in scholarly activities to enrich student learning;
  • Engage in community outreach and serve on boards as appropriate;
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient work unit functioning.
Minimum Requirements

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required; previous customer service experience preferred.

  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality;
  • Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays;
  • Meet store policies including quality, cash handling, and safety standards;
  • Engage with customers to understand and respond to their needs;
  • Prepare food and beverages according to recipes and customer specifications;
  • Perform various tasks within the store during each shift.
