Job summary

UW Medicine Montlake – Food and Nutrition seeks a part-time Barista to prepare and serve espresso beverages and food items, keep work areas clean, and handle cash payments in a patient‑centered setting in Seattle.

Ideal candidates will have experience in food service, be able to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks, and demonstrate reliable teamwork, attention to detail, and friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing and serving food and beverages.
• Ability to handle cash transactions.
• Eligible to obtain Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee and espresso;
• Weigh, prepare, and serve meals;
• Clean work area and equipment;
• Take cash payment for meals and drinks;
• Operate cooking, espresso and kitchen equipment;
• Assist in maintaining daily stock of work area and weekly inventory;
• Perform related duties as required.
