Job summary

University of Washington is seeking a Barista for UW Medicine-Montlake in the Nutrition and Food Services department. This is a part-time 50% FTE position with day shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and a Monday shift 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Responsibilities include preparing and serving coffee and espresso, weighing and serving meals, cleaning, handling cash, and maintaining stock. A Washington State Food Worker Card and 1 year of food/beverage experience are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service in a food service environment.
• Ability to handle cash and transactions for meals and drinks.
• Ability to operate espresso and kitchen equipment as part of routine duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee and espresso;
• Weigh, prepare, and serve meals;
• Clean work area and equipment;
• Take cash payment for meals and drinks;
• Operate cooking, espresso and kitchen equipment;
• Assist in maintaining daily stock of work area and weekly inventory;
