Job summary

UPMC is hiring a Starbucks-style team member to prepare espresso drinks, smoothies and coolers per guest requests while providing fast, friendly service. You will handle cashier duties, keep the station stocked, and uphold Starbucks standards to create a memorable guest experience.

Availability from Sunday–Saturday with rotating shift times between 5:30 am and 8:30 pm is required; prior cashier experience is preferred and customer service excellence is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must have the ability to work as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills required.
• Ability to use Point of Sale system required.
• Previous cashier experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome questions and educate guests. Make espresso drinks, smoothies and coolers that are delivered to the guest in less than three (3) minutes.
• Operates espresso machine and video screen; identifies each drink and delivery.
• Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with store standards; follows cash handling procedures and policies.
• Contributes to store profitability; helps meet sales goals and provides the Starbucks experience.
• Prepare and produce all drinks to the Starbucks standard; keep guest areas clean; thank each customer.
