UPMC Passavant is hiring a Casual Barista for our Starbucks location at 9100 Babcock Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA. You will prepare espresso drinks, greet guests, and maintain store standards while handling transactions with care.

The role supports opening or closing shifts and weekend coverage. Prior Starbucks or cash-handling experience is preferred, with emphasis on customer service and teamwork.

ANCC Magnet designated UPMC Passavant is currently hiring a Casual Barista to support our Starbucks at the McCandless location. Salary will be determined based upon experience.

Our Casual Baristas typically work 8 hours per week to cover Opening (starting at 4:30AM) shifts or Closing (ending at 8:30PM) with some weekend shifts required. Hours may vary. Candidates with prior Starbucks experience are highly preferred and encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Welcome questions and educate guests. Make espresso drinks, and other Starbucks beverages that are delivered to the guest in less than three (3) minutes. Operate espresso machine and Digital production manager. Identify each drink and delivery.
• Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with store standards. Follows cash handling procedures and cash handling policies. Contributes to store profitability Contributes to store goals for increasing sales and improving profits. Learns and demonstrates creating the Starbucks experience. Offers customer demonstrations and samples using brewing equipment, Discovers customer needs and appropriately suggest product with customers to enhance service and meet sales goals.
• Prepare and produce all drinks to the Starbucks standard. Keep guest areas clean. Respond to the customer needs and thank each customer. Demonstrates the Just Say Yes behavior by taking care of customers needs. Follows store policy and procedures.
