UNM Hospital’s Caring Cup unit is seeking a full-time barista to deliver excellent customer service in a retail cafe setting. Responsibilities include operating the espresso machine, cash register, and handling cash with accuracy, while maintaining merchandising standards and unit open/close duties.

Ideal candidate will have high school education, no minimum experience required (retail espresso cafe experience preferred), and willingness to train in various retail tasks.

Qualifications

• High School or GED Equivalent.
• No minimum experience required.
• Retail Espresso Café experience: Barista experience.

Responsabilités

• Maintain department facilities and equipment.
• Assist in training of volunteer staff.
• Provide outstanding customer service with greeting and knowledge of products.
• Process and replenish merchandise; monitor floor stock and displays.
• Operate cash register and balance drawer; prepare reconciliation reports.
• Handle cash deposits and ensure compliance with policies.
• Open and close retail unit as assigned.
• Operate Espresso machine with skill and efficiency as assigned.
