Responsibilities

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions with recommendations
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to achieve store goals
• Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and handle transactions per company practices
• Offer product samples and inform about coffee shop specials
• Provide fresh products ordered and manage portion sizes to minimize shrink
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs
• Operate coffee shop equipment (espresso machine, blender, scales, steamer) and stock inventory
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates
• Label, stock and inventory merchandise
• Report discrepancies to the department manager
• Stay current with ads and promotions
• Uphold safety procedures and food safety guidelines
• Inspect equipment and arrange repairs as needed
• Report safety risks or theft to store management
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
• Manage conflicts calmly and professionally
