Lakehouse Resort in California seeks an enthusiastic Barista to greet guests, prepare and serve beverages, and maintain a welcoming cafe environment. You will handle payments, upsell items, and ensure a clean, well-stocked workspace while learning beverage preparation and quality controls.

Responsibilities include memorizing the menu, assisting guests with questions, and upholding health and sanitation standards in a fast-paced hotel cafe setting.

Qualifications

• Previous food & beverage preparation experience.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Adept at being organized and able to multi-task.
• Energetic, positive attitude and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.
• Able to communicate with individuals from different backgrounds.
• Ability to learn the menu thoroughly and answer food & beverage questions.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Able to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm welcome and a fond farewell; engage them in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• Hand craft beverages for guests.
• Handle payments on the POS efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure merchandise and goods are stocked appropriately, maintain inventory.
• Upsell additional items offered to enhance profitability.
• Become familiar with the property and surrounding areas, and guests.
• Multi-task and perform general cleaning to maintain a clean environment.
• Provide exceptional guest hospitality and service to ensure guests enjoy their experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
