Job summary

Buddy Brew Coffee in Palm Harbor, FL is looking for a friendly Barista to join our team. Both full-time and part-time roles are available, offering base pay plus tips, a fast-paced environment, and opportunities to develop specialty coffee skills.

You will greet guests, guide them through the menu, prepare drinks to Buddy Brew recipes, handle orders and payments, keep your station clean, and adhere to health standards while delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Qualifications

• Previous work in Food/Beverage industry.
• Barista experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations; Florida Food Handler certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Strong cash handling and basic math skills.
• Excellent guest service and teamwork.
• Ability to understand and respond to guest preferences.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and guide them through the menu.
• Take orders with attention to details (preferences, dairy, sugar).
• Prepare hot/cold beverages per Buddy Brew recipes.
• Serve beverages with quality presentation.
• Handle cash and card payments accurately.
• Maintain a clean, stocked workstation.
• Check stock levels of supplies.
• Report brewing equipment issues in shift report.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Incorporate guest feedback for improvements.
• Suggest menu additions based on customer preferences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly as they enter the cafe
• Guide guests through our diverse drink and food menu, answering any questions they may have
• Take orders with careful attention to details such as coffee blend preferences, dairy choices, and sugar requirements
• Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages following Buddy Brew Coffee recipes
• Serve beverages in a high-quality and presentable manner
• Handle cash transactions and process credit card payments accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work station
• Ensure stock levels of ceramic, cutlery, and paper goods are adequate
• Regularly check and maintain brewing equipment, reporting any issues in the shift report
• Adhere to local health and safety regulations
• Communicate guest feedback to managers for continuous improvement
• Actively suggest menu additions or alterations based on customer preferences
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills
