Job summary

Barnes & Noble, Inc. is seeking a Barista to join our Williamsburg cafe team. You will welcome customers, prepare beverages and café items, and help keep the shop well-presented and running smoothly.

You will unpack deliveries, stock the café, run the register efficiently, and maintain cleanliness and safety. This role requires reliability, a positive attitude, and a passion for coffee and community.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and hospitality is preferred.
• Able to operate a cash register and payment terminals.
• Strong teamwork and flexible scheduling abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to café procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and help them choose beverages and cafe items.
• Operate the register and handle transactions efficiently.
• Unpack deliveries, stock shelves, and maintain café presentation.
• Prepare drinks and food items following recipes and guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow FIFO and safety practices.
• Support loss prevention and assist other store team members as needed.
