Job summary

Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Inc. is seeking a friendly Barista to welcome customers, prepare beverages, stock the café, and keep the bakes case inviting.

You will operate registers, assist with deliveries, and help maintain a clean, organized space for readers and cafe guests. We value punctual, flexible team players who enjoy connecting customers with great drinks, snacks, and promotions and who can work mornings, days, and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, days, evenings and weekends.
• Positive, customer-focused attitude with willingness to learn.
• Willingness to work across café and bookfloor areas.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer questions with a cheerful, helpful manner.
• Operate registers and process transactions quickly and accurately.
• Stock deliveries, maintain café presentation, and tidy the bakes case.
• Prepare beverages and food items using recipes and guidelines.
• Maintain cafe cleanliness and follow FIFO and safety procedures.
• Support the bookfloor team as needed and assist with promotions.
