Job summary

The Bellevue Club is seeking a Baristas/Waitstaff Lead for The Market, a vibrant segment serving lattes, pastries, salads and grab-and-go items. Morning and weekend availability is required; the role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment with opportunities for advancement within the Bellevue Club.

The position includes leading a small team, ensuring high-quality service, and managing beverage and food preparation to meet guest expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of baristas/waitstaff or in a supervisory role.
• Greet guests and take beverage/food orders with accuracy and friendliness.
• Knowledge of beverage recipes, ingredients, and basic nutrition information.
• Comfort with operating the POS system and processing payments efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take and relay beverage and food orders.
• Prepare beverages and food items for sale.
• Operate the POS system accurately according to guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and nutritional information.

Join the Bellevue Club and Hotel team. As the premier athletic and social club on Seattle’s Eastside, the Bellevue Club is a gathering place for the Northwest’s most celebrated and visionary citizens. The Bellevue Club is in search of Baristas/Waitstaff Lead to join the team at The Market. The Market serves everything from lattes to post-workout protein drinks, fresh pastries, bagels, salads, sandwiches and a variety of grab-and-go items. Morning and weekend availability is required for this position.

• closing shifts
• one to two mid-day shifts and three closing shifts

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Has experience in managing other people. Which include encouraging them, teaching them and holding them accountable to their responsibilities.
• Greets guests and solicits beverage and food orders.
• Prepares beverages and food items for sale.
• Accurately operates the POS system according to department guidelines.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of the food and beverage items available at the espresso/smoothie bar, including beverage recipes and nutritional information regarding our baked goods.
• Cleans and organizes the bar area and ensures the equipment is in good repair.
• Markets and promotes special items, new items, etc.
• Stocks the espresso/smoothie bar with all food and beverage items as well as side items, including cups, ice, napkins, straws, syrups, etc.
• Models a customer comes first attitude and delivers excellent customer service, supports team members.
• Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote the mission of the Bellevue Club.

Closing Waitstaff: in addition to the duties above:

• Ensures the entire area is well stocked and cleaned for the next morning.
• Calls the MOD to witness and sign off on the count out of the cash drawer.
• Communicates with the Market Manager and Supervisor about any evening events or business operations that need attention.
