Job summary

Bally's Casino Queen Marquette in Marquette, IA is seeking a Café Team Member to prepare coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and light foods while delivering friendly guest service.

You will handle cash, maintain a clean café, stock supplies, and follow health and safety standards. Training provided; previous experience is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, teas, smoothies, and other specialty drinks according to company recipes and quality standards.
  • Prepare sandwiches, pastries, and other café food items while following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and making product recommendations.
  • Accurately process cash, credit card, and other electronic payment transactions through the POS system.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary café, dining, and food preparation areas throughout each shift.
  • Stock and replenish coffee, food, paper products, and other café supplies as needed.
  • Monitor product freshness and rotate inventory using FIFO practices.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling procedures.
  • Operate café equipment, including espresso machines, coffee brewers, blenders, ovens, and POS systems, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, cash handling, and equipment maintenance.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to ensure efficient operations and a positive guest experience.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and elevate issues to a supervisor when appropriate.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, promotions, and seasonal products to effectively assist guests.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable gaming, health, and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful operation of the café.
