A prominent hotel seeks a dedicated Barista to greet and serve guests with beverages and food. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, barista experience, and excellent hospitality skills, ensuring satisfaction through quality service. BASIC FUNCTION: The Barista is responsible for greeting and serving guest beverages and/or food in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest services.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* One year of Coffee House and/or Barista experience.
* Cash handling experience.
* Must be able to lift, pull and/or push 25lbs
* Excellent communication skills.
* Excellent Hospitality skills
* Ability to read, write and speak clearly and accurately in English.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Greet guests timely and professionally.
2. Brew, sell, promote and prepare orders according to company standards.
3. Make menu suggestions, and/or daily special options.
4. Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving any problems that may arise.
5. Take guest orders completely and accurately.
6. Maintain cleanliness of work area and maintain stock levels.
7. Knowledgeable of menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods.
8. Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, handling money, processing credit/debit cards.
9. Adhere to company cash handling procedures.
10. Follow proper procedures for voids and reconciling register.
11. Ensure end of shift paperwork is balanced, neat and legible.
12. Requisition, stock and rotate products.
13. Familiar with Hotel information in order to answer guest inquires.
14. Alert supervisor on duty of any guest issues that may arise.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.
2. Help out in other areas of food and beverage as needed.
3. Makes and wraps amenity baskets.
4. Cleans and organizes the work area.
