Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a PRN Barista to prepare a variety of coffee beverages and assist with food preparation for the retail area. Shifts are 7:00am-12:00pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with PRN as needed.

Barista experience is a must, and you will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent customer service. Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation standards, delivering beverages on schedule, and cash handling with accurate reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Barista experience required or preferred.
• Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares hot and cold beverages to standards set by Food and Nutrition Services.
• Delivers all products according to the schedule set for the specific item.
• Makes recommendations to Food and Nutrition Services for all menus.
• Completes daily assigned cleaning in accordance with approved standards.
• Responsible for delivering excellent customer service by utilizing the appropriate scripts developed for Food and Nutrition Services.
• Accurate cash handling and reconciliation of change due to customers.
