Job summary

Pineapple Hospitality is seeking a Barista at Staypineapple locations to prepare and serve drinks and food in a warm, inviting manner from early hours. You’ll relay knowledge of coffee and tea regions, take orders at multiple stations, and help with food service to ensure guests have an exceptional experience.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and food/beverage experience is preferred. Permits for safety and sanitation are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Food Handler’s Permit and MAST Permit required.
• Experience in food and beverage is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Ability to contribute to a collaborative and diverse team.
• Understanding and application of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Relaying knowledge of coffee and tea regions and flavor profiles to customers.
• Taking orders at cafe counter and dining room and conveying to team members for preparation.
• Making coffee drinks and other morning beverages for guests.
• Running food for guests and bussing tables, helping with glassware/dishes.
• Maintaining inventory by replenishing coffee beans and food supplies and stocking equipment.
• Working within a small team to deliver excellent guest experiences and camaraderie.
• Controlling cash and receipts according to restaurant and hotel SOPs.

• Relaying your understanding of coffee and tea regions and the various differences in flavor and blends to customers.
• Taking orders at both the cafe counter and the dining room and conveying them to team members for preparation.
• Making coffee drinks and other morning beverages for guests.
• Running food for guests and bussing tables and helping with glassware dishes.
• Maintaining inventory by replenishing coffee bean & food supply and stocking brewing equipment.
• Working within a small team for excellent guest experiences and team camaraderie alike.
• Controlling cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant and hotel Standard Operating Procedures.

Your experience and qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous food and beverage experience preferred.
• Food Handler’s Permit required and MAST Permit required.
