Job summary

Better Buzz Coffee Roasters in San Diego is seeking a friendly Barista to join our fast-paced team. You will deliver a welcoming experience, prepare beverages and menu items, and help maintain a clean, energetic cafe environment.

Ideal candidates bring 1+ year experience in coffee or hospitality, a passion for great coffee, and a reliable, team-first attitude. This role supports weekends and holidays with at least 22 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in coffee, food service, or hospitality preferred.
• Passion for great coffee and exceptional guest service.
• Strong communicator with a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and available for nights, weekends and holidays and at least 22 hours worked each week.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Better Buzz experience through fast, friendly, and genuine service.
• Be knowledgeable about our coffee, tea, food, and specialty drinks.
• Prepare and serve beverages and food consistently following recipe standards.
• Work all café positions - our baristas are cross-trained and adaptable, including working in our kitchens to make food to order.
• Keep our spaces clean, safe — always ready for guests and teammates.
• Produces proper drink and food items to standard recipe specifications.
• Stock all necessary ingredients in accordance with each station's needs.
• Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products and areas.

Compensation

Base pay is $20.00 per hour + tips
