Job summary

A North Sioux City area coffee shop is hiring a Barista and Deli Cook to join our team. Open: 6:00am-3:00pm; Hours TBD. If you love coffee, customer service, and creating a welcoming neighborhood vibe, this is a great opportunity.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a barista or in a food service role is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate!
• A positive, energetic attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages consistently and to the highest quality standards.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment.
• Use kitchen equipment such as meat slicer & panini press
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card transactions.
• Educate customers on menu items, coffee bean varieties, and preparation methods.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, lobby, and restrooms.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with stocking, inventory, and preparing food items (pastries, simple sandwiches, etc.) as needed.
• Provide outstanding, friendly customer service
