Job summary

Hutch + Waldo is seeking a barista to join our team in New York. You will dial in espresso and filter coffee with care, maintain high quality and speed, keep the bar organized, and engage warmly with guests.

• 2+ years of experience in a barista or café-focused role.
• A genuine passion for coffee and the craft behind it.
• Confidence with both espresso and filter preparation.

• Curiosity, humility, and a drive to improve yourself and those around you.
• An understanding of café culture and a desire to be part of the conversation.

Responsibilities

• Manage bar flow and adjust during rush periods to keep things humming.
• Own your space - keep the bar clean, organized, and dialed.

• Collaborate with the General Manager and 2.i.C to build structure and evolve the coffee program.
• Support the team during DOH inspections and daily compliance checks.
• Always be learning: ask questions, seek feedback, and grow your craft.
