PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS

As a Starbucks Barista, you will create the Starbucks experience for our customers by providing legendary customer service with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks.
• Maintains a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard and set a positive example for the team.
• Anticipates customer and store needs by evaluating environment and cues.
• Assists with new employee training by positively reinforcing performance and providing respectful coaching.
• Delivers legendary customer service, acting with a customer-first attitude and engaging with customers.
• Follows Starbucks policies and procedures, including cash handling, safety, and security, ensuring a safe environment.
• Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
• Provides quality beverages, whole beans, and food products by adhering to recipes and presentation standards, following health and safety guidelines.
• Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments.

Additional Duties And Responsibilities

Must be able to learn quickly, work as a team, and build relationships with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months customer service experience required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests, supervisors, and colleagues.
• Basic math skills for calculating amounts.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds; ability to climb ladders.
• Availability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime, based on business needs.
