Job summary

Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort is seeking a friendly, guest-focused team member for a Part-Time, year-round position. You will greet guests, prepare and serve beverages and food, educate guests on our menu, and balance transactions in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Open availability including weekends and holidays is required; we offer free lunch, a health club membership, and discounted travel program benefits for team members and their families.

Responsibilities

• Greets, prepares, serves, and takes guests' orders for beverages and/or food.
• Educate customers on drink menu and make recommendations.
• Upsell additional items to enhance profitability. Enters orders into a computerized system and settles checks.
• Makes and presents drinks using standard recipes and portion control.
• Receives cash, balances transactions, and verifies charges.
• Maintains daily coffee bar setup including stocking and rotating products.
• Responds to guest complaints in a positive and tactful manner and resolves issues.
• Locks up and stores beverages, food and equipment; balance bank and sign out/in keys.
• Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Open availability including weekends and holidays is required.

Job description

The Kingston Resorts is a 145-acre oceanfront resort on the north end of Myrtle Beach. Less than 2 miles from Tanger Outlets and a short 20-minute trip to Broadway at the Beach. This resort is home to the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort, Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach, Kingston Plantation Condos, and Royal Palms. Responsibilities

• Greets, prepares, services, and takes guests' orders for beverages and/or food in a friendly, courteous, professional and timely manner to ensure total guest satisfaction.
• Educate customers on our drink menu, making recommendations based on their preferences.
• Upsells additional items to enhance profitability. Enters orders into a computerized system and settles check(s) upon completion of order.
• Makes and/or presents drinks using standard ingredient(s)/recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
• Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all transactions.
• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the coffee bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning, stocking and rotating all products needed.
• Respond to guest complains in a positive and tactful manner, negotiate a compromise and implement solution.
• Locks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops, secures and balance bank and sign out/in keys.
• Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
