Job summary

APEX Restaurant and Market Solutions in Colorado is seeking a Barista to run our beverage station. Prepare and serve a variety of beverage recipes, help prepare food items to be sold, and operate the cash register. Work Monday through Friday daytime hours with no nights or weekends.

We value positivity, attention to detail, and teamwork. You will assist with beverage and food prep, customer service, and cash handling while maintaining sanitation standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Beverage and food preparation: prepare coffee, tea, and pastries or other menu items as needed.
• Customer service: welcome customers, take orders, answer questions, and process transactions accurately.
• Equipment operation: operate and maintain espresso machines and grinders, following safety standards.
• Cleaning and maintenance: keep a clean, sanitized, and organized work area and equipment.
• Stocking and inventory: monitor inventory and replenish coffee beans, milk, cups, and related supplies.

We are currently looking for a Barista to run our beverage station. Prepare and serve a variety of beverage recipes. Help prepare food items to be sold and work the cash register.

Our employees must be positive, detail and team oriented. They must also follow all sanitation and cleanliness procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Beverage and Food Preparation: Prepare and serve an assortment of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages. Certain roles may also include preparing and serving pastries, sandwiches, or other menu items.

Customer Service: Welcome customers, accurately process orders, respond to inquiries regarding the menu, and ensure precise transaction handling.

Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain coffee-related equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders, with proper care and adherence to safety standards.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work environment, including all equipment and customer seating areas.

Stocking and Inventory: Monitor inventory levels and promptly replenish supplies including coffee beans, milk, and cups.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Communication: Strong verbal and interpersonal communication abilities are essential for effective engagement with customers and collaboration with team members.

Multitasking: Proficiency in managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously, such as taking orders while preparing beverages, is required.

Efficiency: The capacity to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment and remain effective under pressure is vital.

Product Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of various coffee types, brewing techniques, and menu offerings is necessary to assist and inform customers appropriately.

Requirements

Basic understanding of coffee is preferred but not required. Must be comfortable and safe with handling a knife. Must be professional, courteous and engaging with customers. Willing to cross train at other stations and help other team members out.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for 8 hours.
