Job summary

Hilton President Kansas City is seeking a Barista / Coffee Shop Attendant to manage the hotel's Starbucks outlet daily, ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

You will prepare beverages, handle payments, restock supplies, and maintain a clean, welcoming station, with opportunities for tips and growth within the property.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Kansas City Food Handler Permit, or be able to obtain one upon hire.
• 1+ years' experience as a barista.
• Strong multitasking, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Barista / Coffee Shop Attendant

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other Duties May Be Assigned).

• Responsible for independently managing daily operations of the hotel's "We Proudly Serve" Starbucks outlet
• Prepare Starbucks hot and cold beverages (espresso drinks, teas, and Frappuccinos) from a limited menu
• Maintain a rapid order completion pace during peak morning rushes
• Taking cash, credit, and guest room charge payments
• Inventory restocking and maintaining a clean area with daily cleaning tasks

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Kansas City Food Handler Permit, or be able to obtain one upon hire.
• Must have 1+ years' experience as a barista
• Strong multitasking, time management, and problem-solving skills

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

• Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps
• Constantly moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
• Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Occasionally moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
• Constantly adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.
• Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
• Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Constantly operating machinery and/or power tools (i.e. espresso machines and ovens).
• Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Constantly performing sedentary work that primarily involves standing.
• Constantly performing light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
• Occasionally performing medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

• Occasionally exposed to cold temperatures (i.e. walk-in coolers and freezers).
• Occasionally exposed to noisy environments (i.e. conversations in a crowded lobby).
• Constantly exposed to small and/or enclosed spaces.

SCHEDULE

• Regularly works from 5:30AM - approximately 12PM, including weekends and holidays.
• Open to flexible hours

Compensation

• $16.00 per hour base pay plus tips.
• $500 bonus after your first 90 days.
