Job summary

The Hilton President Kansas City is seeking a Banquets Server to support event catering and guest experience in our banquet spaces. You will set up layouts, service meals and beverages, and respond to guest needs with a friendly, timely approach.

Schedule varies with event calendars, often including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This role offers pay with tips and potential for additional earnings through gratuity, along with comprehensive benefits for eligible teammates.

Banquets Server

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned)

• Setting-up banquet spaces to meet function specifications.
• Ensuringguest satisfaction throughout the meal service. Responding to requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
• Delivering and servingfood and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments and accompaniments.
• Cleaning meeting spaces, including, but not limited to removingservice items, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, wiping areas, and washing walls before and after events .

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

• Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.
• Constantly moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
• Occasionally remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Constantly moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
• Constantly adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.
• Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
• Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Occasionally operating machinery and/or power tools.
• Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Occasionally performing sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
• Constantly performing light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
• Constantly performing medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally performing heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

• Occasionally exposed to cold temperatures (i.e. walk-in coolers and freezers).
• Occasionally exposed to high temperatures (i.e. kitchens and prep areas).
• Constantly exposed to noisy environments (i.e. music and noise from wedding receptions).
• Occasionally exposed to small and/or enclosed spaces.

SCHEDULE

• Schedule varies based on event schedules.
• Frequently works evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs.
• Some schedule flexibility is available, however, restricted availability may limit the number of hours scheduled since work load is based on events.

COMPENSATION

• $7.50 per hour base pay plus tips.
• $15.00 - $30.00 additional per hour is the expected average pay, including gratuity.
