About the Hotel

The 320-room luxury Omni Viking Lakes Hotel features over 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, including a 7,500-square-foot ballroom, a 4,410-square-foot event center, and six two-story hospitality lounges for groups and meetings. Job Description

Omni Viking Lakes Hotel is seeking a Barista. This role involves managing daily Coffee Market operations and delivering exceptional customer service to guests, members, and staff.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary is $16.00/hour, based on experience. Full-time associates are eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid maternity leave, 401(k), and paid time off. Omni Viking Lakes reserves the right to adjust pay based on factors unrelated to sex or race.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for opening or closing the outlet as assigned, ensuring timely opening.
2. Prepare quality beverages such as lattes, cappuccinos, espresso-based drinks, blended drinks, and coffee.
3. Maintain the assigned cash bank each shift.
4. Support Omni Safe and Clean protocols, including COVID-19 sanitation measures.
5. Alert the F&B Manager about inventory shortages or needs.
6. Follow up on daily projects to ensure completion.
7. Assist with physical inventory when needed.
8. Maintain a clean work area.
9. Know hotel locations to assist guests and members effectively.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of cash handling and POS systems preferred.
• Current Texas Food Handlers certification required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move moderate weights.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Working Environment

• Indoor resort setting in coffee market and retail locations.
• Occasional outdoor tasks and property movement.
