Job summary

HobNob Coffee and Wine Bar in Des Moines is seeking a positive, service-oriented Barista to join our team. The Barista will deliver quality beverages and foods to guests while complying with our standards, greeting customers warmly and handling orders efficiently.

The role requires good communication, flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, and the ability to stand for long periods. Prior knowledge of coffee and baked goods is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Requires good verbal communication skills.
• Flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to stand for hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• High school or equivalent education required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
