Job Description:

Baristas make coffee, tea, other drinks, and food items to customer specifications while maintaining good customer relations and speedy delivery of all beverages. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

The job is simple:

Responsibilities:
  • Complete all required training
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures and property-specific brand standards
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests
  • Provide personalized, friendly service to each guest
  • Make coffee, tea, and other drinks to customer specifications
  • Operate cash registers and coffee shop equipment
  • Clean coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation areas during a shift
Necessary Skills:
  • Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, associate issues, etc.
  • Responsibility for safety and security of guests, associates, and assets
  • Knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
  • Effective communication in writing, verbally, and in person
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Organized, honest, and collaborative
  • Maintain a clean work area, uniform, and personal hygiene
  • High integrity, humility, and adherence to the Golden Rule
  • Ability to work with diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Values dedication, innovation, respect, excellence, community focus, and service spirit
  • Physical ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, stretch, lift up to 25 pounds, and work in restrictive environments
  • Good eyesight, dexterity for operating equipment, clear communication skills, and basic hearing ability
  • Proficiency in writing
