Maple Springs Coffee & Gift Shop, located within The Lodge at Mammoth Cave, invites friendly Baristas to join our team. You will deliver exceptional customer service, craft quality beverages, and help create memorable guest experiences with every cup.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take drink orders.
• Prepare and serve beverages such as coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea and other specialty drinks.
• Promote and recommend menu options to customers.
• Take payment from customers at the POS system.
• Track and order inventory for cafe supplies.
• Maintain espresso machines, grinders, coffee machines and other equipment by cleaning.
• Keep the cafe seating area clean, sanitary and organized.
• Restock merchandise and supplies.

Position Duties

• Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking drink orders
• Preparing and serving beverages such as coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea and other specialty drinks
• Promoting and recommending menu options to customers
• Taking payment from customers
• Tracking and ordering inventory for cafe and beverage supplies, such as coffee beans, milk, napkins and cups
• Maintaining espresso machines, grinders, coffee machines and other equipment by cleaning
• Keeping the work environment and cafe seating area clean, sanitary and organized
• Operate point of sale system
• Restock merchandise and supplies

Position Requirements

• Excellent customer service and people skills
• Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to count change and reconcile paperwork
• Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment, in close proximity to other people

Education and Experience

• Experience: Minimum (1) year in a restaurant establishment
