Padre Hotel in Bakersfield, located in the Historic Downtown Arts District, is seeking an outstanding Barista for its Farmacy Café. The ideal candidate loves coffee, enjoys crafting specialty drinks, and delivers exceptional guest service in a lively, guest-facing setting.

Rate of pay is $16.90 per hour. The position requires flexible availability including days, nights, weekends and holidays, with opportunities to grow within Eat.Drink.Sleep.

Located in the bustling Downtown Arts District, Bakersfield’s Historic Padre Hotel is proudly the only Four Diamond hotel in Kern County. Our property offers distinct entertainment venues including a stunning event space, a coffee shop, a casual indoor dining restaurant and bar and a bustling outdoor bar and lounge, all within a beautifully appointed environment for our guests.

We are currently looking to hire an outstanding Barista for our Farmacy Café. The ideal candidate will have a love of coffee (and other specialty drinks) and enjoy providing excellent customer service to our guests.

Rate of Pay: $16.90 per hour

Position Qualifications:

• Six (6) months – One (1) year experience coffee shop or other food establishment preferred
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Well organized and detail oriented
• Register and cash handling experience
• Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees must have flexible availability and be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance
