Snooze in Austin is hiring baristas who thrive in a fast-paced breakfast setting. You will craft caffeinated and alcoholic beverages, learn guest preferences, and ensure smooth service from the counter to table.

The role includes handling payments, maintaining bar cleanliness, and assisting with inventory and food service at the breakfast counter. Expected qualities include energy, teamwork, and a friendly, guest-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the US.
• County food and alcohol serving certifications must be obtained prior to employment.
• Ability to stand for long periods (10+ hours) and lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Take beverage orders from guests and servers using the POS system.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks per standards.
• Create welcoming experience by learning guest names and preferences.
• Handle payments, process credit card charges and make change if needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar and equipment including espresso machines.
• Serve food orders to guests at the breakfast counter and restock inventory.
• Support bar inventory replenishment and supplies.

The Position Specifics

You will be preparing and perfecting barista beverages and crafty cocktails. You make brunch even better!

• Accurately, professionally and energetically take beverage orders from Guests and servers, recording immediately in our POS system
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Snooze Beverage Doctrine
• Create a welcoming experience for barista counter Guests by learning names and order preferences
• Accept Guest payment, process credit card charges, and make change (if applicable)
• Maintains bottles, glasses, coffee, and coffee equipment in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including espresso/coffee makers, counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas
• Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the breakfast counter
• Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
