Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Bariatrics experience preferred.
• Ability to manage perioperative care and coordinate with surgeons, dietitians, and nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate bariatric patients for surgery including histories and physicals.
• Order and interpret preoperative labs and imaging; coordinate clearances and insurance documentation.
• Educate patients on procedures, preoperative diet, and lifestyle changes; obtain informed consent.
• Round on inpatients; manage postoperative care, wound issues, and complications.
• Provide long-term follow-up including weight management and vitamin monitoring.
• Assist in operating room and perform credentialed bedside and clinic procedures.
