Job summary

Care New England Medical Group (CNEMG) seeks a full-time Bariatric Surgical Physician Assistant to join our Bariatric team at Kent Hospital and Women & Infants Hospitals. You will be integral to a collaborative department providing high-quality inpatient and outpatient care.

The role includes surgical assistance, hospital care for bariatric and general surgery patients, and support for outpatient visits. EPIC is used system-wide; prior robotic bariatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Full-time, Monday through Friday daytime schedule.
• Prior surgical experience required, knowledge of robotic bariatric surgery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Surgical assist in bariatric and general cases.
• Hospital care of bariatric/general surgery patients.
• Support office clinical efforts and outpatient office visits.
• Maintain accreditation standards and assist with quality improvement projects.
• Work alongside experienced physicians and APPs; participate in mentorship and collaboration.

Bariatric Surgical Physician Assistant Opportunity Highlights

• Full-time, Monday through Friday daytime schedule; prior surgical experience required, knowledge of robotic bariatric surgery preferred
• Be a valued member of the accredited Bariatric inpatient/surgical and outpatient team supporting the department with duties including:
  a) surgical assist in bariatric and general cases
  b) hospital care of bariatric/general surgery patients
  c) supporting office clinical efforts and outpatient office visits

d) maintaining accreditation standards and assisting with quality improvement projects

• Work alongside experienced, reputable, collegial group of physicians and advanced practice providers (APP)
• Regular mentorship and collaboration amongst providers
• EPIC implemented system wide
