Job summary

Care New England is seeking a full-time Bariatric Surgical Physician Assistant to join our Bariatric team at Kent Hospital and Women & Infants Hospital. This role includes OR first-assist in bariatric and general cases, inpatient management, and outpatient clinic duties within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

You will work with experienced physicians and APPs, with mentorship and cross-coverage across sites.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Certified by NCCPA.
• Active Rhode Island PA, CSR, and DEA license or eligible.
• 1+ year of surgical experience; knowledge of robotic bariatric surgery preferred.

Responsibilities

• OR 1st assist in bariatric and general cases.
• Inpatient management.
• Outpatient clinic.
• Collaborate with experienced physicians and APPs; EPIC system implemented across the department.
