Job summary

Health First in Florida, NY is seeking a Metabolic and Bariatric Program Coordinator RN to serve as the operational lead for the program, ensuring accreditation readiness, quality improvement, and patient-centered care across pre-, peri-, and post-operative pathways.

You will partner with physicians and clinical teams to drive program development, monitor outcomes, coordinate education, outreach, and stakeholder engagement across the IDN.

Qualifications

• Education: ASN or Nursing Diploma.
• Work Experience: Two (2) years’ related experience.
• Licensure: RN licensure in Florida.
• Certification: AHA BLS Healthcare Provider prior to start.
• Proficient in MS Office and strong communication.
• Ability to travel across Health First facilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates bariatric program activities with leaders to deliver care across pre-, peri-, and post-operative continuum.
• Serves as SME on bariatric standards, accreditation, care pathways, equipment, and documentation.
• Facilitates support groups, seminars, and educational events for patients, families, and community members.
• Leads accreditation readiness and ongoing compliance efforts including documentation and performance monitoring.
• Partners with physicians and stakeholders to support program growth and community engagement.
• Collects and analyzes data to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Liaises among physicians, leadership, clinical teams, and departments for coordination.
• Collaborates to promote standardized practices and patient experience across the IDN.
• Coordinates initiatives to improve patient, physician, and team member experience.
• Collaborates with Revenue Cycle and operations on financial clearance and documentation workflows.
