Job summary

Memorial Health is seeking an experienced Bariatric Program Lead - Outpatient RN to coordinate education, care plans, and multidisciplinary collaboration in the Springfield Wellness Center. The role focuses on patient education, care coordination, and adherence to MBSAQIP guidelines to support safe bariatric surgery pathways.

The position is in-person, Monday through Friday, with no weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current IL RN license earned and active.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Bariatric ASMBS MBSAQIP credential required or obtained within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Bariatric Surgery Program activities and patient education.
• Incorporate ASMBS/MBSAQIP guidelines into program design.
• Help manage MBSAQIP accreditation and outcomes data collection.
• Develop and update nursing protocols, staff education and patient education materials.
• Ensure safety, quality and efficiency in bariatric care.
