Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Bariatric Surgery unit at ORMC in Orlando, FL. The role involves 12-hour night shifts and full-time status in a 16-bed bariatric/specialized unit.

The nurse will provide individualized patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and mentor newer staff while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Excellent patient and family advocacy is essential.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing in Florida or eNLC multi-state license.
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and develops an individualized plan of care.
• Communicates and collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team.
• Functions as a patient and family advocate.
• Prioritizes patient care based on evidence-based standards of care.
• Documents patient care in the electronic medical record.
• Mentors and supports new team members and students.
