Job summary

Prisma Health seeks a Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (MBS) Coordinator to support center development, manage accreditation processes, and ensure continuous MBSAQIP compliance with patient safety as a focus. You will educate staff, collect outcomes data, and drive quality improvement across the bariatric program.

The role serves as liaison between the center and MBSAQIP, collaborates with the MBS Director, and participates in site visits and regulatory activities to uphold standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field is required.
• Two years of related clinical or bariatric experience preferred.
• Licensed or registered healthcare professional is required.
• Strong data entry and proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Assist in center development and accreditation of MBSAQIP.
• Manage accreditation process and ensure continuous MBSAQIP compliance.
• Educate staff and coordinate MBSAQIP activities and quality improvement.
• Attend MBSAQIP site visits and maintain relevant documentation.
• Liaise between center, faculty, and surgeons for program operations.
