Trinity Health Of New England is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Bariatrics Surgical Practice in Hartford, CT. The role focuses on preparing patients for visits, documenting in records, and handling calls to support efficient clinic operations.

The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with responsibilities including room preparation, patient scribing, and coordinating flow with front office staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Medical Assistance preferred.
• National Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Minimum of six months of related work experience is required.
• Excellent communication and people skills. Customer/patient service oriented. Work requires the ability to gather and interpret data in routine situations and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms and patients for examination or minor procedures.
• Obtains patient history, records vital signs, and documents in the medical record; serves as a scribe between patient and physician.
• Processes and files lab/diagnostic results and clinical notes in the chart.
• Coordinates patient flow and assists front office with scheduling and phone duties.
