Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit seeks a Registered Dietitian to provide nutritional care to bariatric patients before and after surgery within the medical group. You will collaborate with the care team to deliver individualized plans and education.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Dietetics and RDN credentials, with opportunities to mentor interns and participate in nutrition education programs. On-site work and a 24-hour-per-week schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or related field per Academy guidelines.
• Master's degree or Advanced Practice Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of chemistry, physiology, caloric and nutrient values.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; medical terminology.
• Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional needs and develop nutrition care plans for patients.
• Provide counseling, education, and outcomes assessment.
• Coordinate nutrition education programs and seminars.
• Educate patients and families on nutrition during hospitalization.
• Supervise dietetic interns and mentor students.
