Job summary

Baystate Health in Agawam, MA is seeking a Registered Dietitian who provides patient-centered nutrition care under hospital policy. The RD will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nutrition plans, collaborate with the care team, and contribute to improvement initiatives and education.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in nutrition/dietetics, MA licensure, and at least 1 year of clinical nutrition experience; a master’s degree is preferred for those certified after 2024.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, Human Nutrition or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred for those who became certified RD in 2024 or thereafter.
• 1 year of work experience in clinical nutrition or proven competency after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates organizational skills to maintain safe delivery of standard of care.
• Conducts age-appropriate clinical assessments and develops/implements the care plan.
• Apply Nutrition Care Process, enter orders in EMR, and coordinate with physicians.
• Develop and provide accurate therapeutic diet education to patients/families.
• Precept dietetic interns and participate in committees and KP initiatives.
