Baystate Health in Springfield, MA is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our Inpatient Team at Baystate Medical Center. You will provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy across adult and pediatric patients within an interdisciplinary care setting.

The department emphasizes professional growth, hands-on nutrition care, and opportunities for expanding scope of practice, including order writing privileges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree – Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, Human Nutrition or related field; accredited DPD program.
• Master's degree preferred and required for those who became certified RD in 2024 or thereafter.
• 1 year of work experience in clinical nutrition or proven competency after onboarding.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates organizational skills to safely deliver care for patients/families.
• Conducts accurate age-appropriate assessments and develops the plan of care.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to monitor and adjust nutrition plans.
• Provides therapeutic diet education to patients and families using Motivational Interviewing.
• Assists with inpatient nutrition support and discharge planning as needed.
• Upholds dignity, privacy, and professional ethics in all interactions.
