Job summary

Baystate Noble Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian to provide patient-centered nutrition care under supervision and in line with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards. The RD will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nutrition care plans and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize outcomes.

The role requires completion of a DPD-accredited program and a degree in nutrition-related fields, with a Master’s preferred for recent RD certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, Human Nutrition or related field with accredited DPD program.
• Master's degree preferred for those who became or will become certified RD in 2024 or thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates organizational skills to maintain safe delivery of nutrition care.
• Conducts accurate age-appropriate clinical assessments and develops/implements patient care plans.
• Manages parenteral nutrition and enters orders in EMR in collaboration with physicians.
• Manages tube feedings and orders in EMR with multidisciplinary team.
• Delivers effective therapeutic diet education to patients and families.
• Documents assessments and monitoring according to policy; participates in PI initiatives.
• Develops nutrition care discharge plans with the interdisciplinary team; addresses discharge needs.
• Serves as a resource and provides nutrition education to physicians, teams, and community.
• Completes annual competencies and precepts dietetic interns.

Education

Bachelor's Degree - Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, Human Nutrition or related field; completion of accredited DPD program
