BayCare is seeking a Registered Dietitian - Bariatric to join our healthcare team in Winter Haven, FL. The RD will provide nutrition therapy for bariatric patients before and after surgery, coordinate support groups, and help maintain bariatric quality designations while engaging in community outreach.

The role requires current Florida RD licensure or eligibility within 6 months, and a pathway toward licensure with CDR.

Formación

• Bachelor’s in Food & Nutrition or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred; graduate degree required for those not credentialed by 12/31/23.
• Registered Dietitian through CDR and Florida licensure, or licensure within 6 months.
• Board Certified Specialist via CDR or other professional group preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide medical nutrition therapy for bariatric surgery patients through one-on-one sessions and group classes.
• Coordinate bariatric patient support groups and moderate the BayCare Bariatric Facebook Group.
• Maintain compliance with bariatric quality designations for the center.
• Deliver bariatric in-services to team members and physicians.
• Represent the bariatric program in media requests and community outreach.
• Assist in collecting patient testimonials.
• Build relationships with patients and multidisciplinary bariatric team including nurses, psychologists, pharmacists, surgeons, admin staff.
• Travel to other sites as needed.
• Participate in patient education, clinical projects and MBS Committee meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
