Baystate Health in Springfield is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition care within the Bariatric Surgery program. You will assess patients, develop individualized plans, enter orders in EMR, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

This full-time role emphasizes nutrition education, discharge planning, and adherence to professional guidelines. MA licensure and good standing as an RD are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition/dietetics or related field with accredited DPD program.
• Master's degree preferred for newer RD certification holders.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates organizational skills to ensure safe patient care and delegates as needed.
• Conducts age-appropriate clinical assessments and develops nutrition plans.
• Manages parenteral and tube feedings with EMR orders and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Provides effective therapeutic diet education to patients and families.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and monitoring per policy.
• Precepts dietetic interns and participates in department initiatives.
• Develops nutrition discharge plans with MD and care team.

Formation

Bachelor's Degree - Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, Human Nutrition or related field; completion of accredited DPD program

Master's Degree - Required for those who became certified RD in 2024 or thereafter
