Job summary

Cooper Consolidated, LLC is seeking a manual laborer to support barge loading and unloading operations along the lower Mississippi River. This role requires working outdoors at various facilities and conditions, with emphasis on safety and situational awareness.

Ideal candidates will be able to lift 45 lbs, work up to 10 hours a day, and follow instructions precisely while collaborating with dispatch and fleet personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in industrial environment preferred: 1 year.
• Ability to lift 45 lbs and work outdoors around water.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Safety Program and attend daily pre-shift meetings.
• Deliver supplies to fleet boats and ensure access to docks.
• Perform weekly inspections of anchor chains and dead man blocks.
• Coordinate with dispatch and complete daily documentation.
• Maintain barge rigging and inspect new barges for leaks or damage.
• Work extended hours as needed.
