Job summary

Cooper Consolidated is a balanced, asset-based provider of midstream stevedoring, barge, marine, and logistics services along the lower Mississippi River. We seek hands-on labor to unload/load barges, work outdoors, and support safe cargo handling, with opportunities for overtime and 401K matching.

Responsibilities vary with daily needs and site requirements, including routine safety meetings, PPE compliance, and accurate log submission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to read and follow safety instructions and docs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Safety Program and attend daily pre-shift meetings.
• Comply with OSHA, safety, and environmental regulations; wear PPE as required.
• Complete documentation timely and submit boat logs to dispatch by the due date.
• Deliver supplies to fleet boats and/or docks and ensure accessibility.
• Inspect anchor chains and barges for issues and perform needed maintenance.
• Assist in general housekeeping of the work area as assigned.
