Job summary

NorthStar Energy Solutions is seeking a skilled Barehand Lineman to perform energized transmission line maintenance and reconductoring using barehand methods on HV/EHV systems. The role requires journey-level knowledge, OSHA standards, and strict safety adherence, including live-line work from towers, lifts, and helicopters when applicable.

You will mentor apprentices, perform JTSA, and participate in safety meetings while supporting storm restoration and emergency responses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Journeyman Lineman certification required.
• Minimum five (5) years of transmission line experience.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Valid Class A CDL (CDL) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform energized transmission line work using barehand methods on HV and EHV systems.
• Conduct JTSA and participate in pre-job briefings.
• Read construction drawings, structure packages, and switching orders.
• Mentor apprentices and enforce safety practices on site.
• Support storm restoration and emergency response activities.
