Job summary

The Barehand Lineman role centers on maintaining, repairing, and operating energized high-voltage lines using barehand techniques. This full-time position, based in Flomaton, AL, requires working directly on live lines, strict safety adherence, and the ability to perform live-line maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize outages coast-to-coast.

A valid lineman certification or accredited apprenticeship, plus the capacity to pass fitness tests and travel to multiple sites, is required.

Qualifications

• Valid lineman certification or completion of an accredited lineman apprenticeship program.
• Experience with high-voltage electrical systems and live-line barehand techniques.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to pass physical fitness assessments and work at heights for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform live-line maintenance and repairs on energized high-voltage power lines using barehand techniques.
• Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical infrastructure to identify potential issues before they cause outages.
• Collaborate with team members to plan and execute maintenance schedules while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
