Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education from accredited university.
• Must possess a valid teaching certificate with required endorsements.

• At least one-year student teaching or approved internship.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers instructional programs and conducts classroom operations.
• Responsible for the overall instruction, operation, management, and supervision of the classroom.
• Demonstrates a variety of methods to address individual student requirements.
• Assesses student progress and develops learning plans to improve outcomes.
• Instructs and counsels students to enhance academic performance and behavior.
• Manages student behavior to provide a safe learning environment.
• Collaborates with staff, parents, and community resources to support school improvement.
• Directs and supports teacher assistants and volunteers as needed.
• Advises parents on student progress and reinforces classroom goals at home.
